Assam HS Final Examination 2026 Form Fill-Up: The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division-II, has released the official notification for the Higher Secondary (HS) Final Examination 2026.
The exam is scheduled to be held in February–March 2026, and the online form fill-up will start from October 22, 2025, and continue till November 25, 2025.
All heads of institutions under ASSEB Division-II are directed to ensure that no eligible student is left out during the form fill-up process.

Form Fill-Up Details
- The official online portal for form submission will be activated soon.
- No offline or provisional form will be accepted.
- Students failing to complete the process within the given dates cannot appear in the exam.
- Institutions must notify their students immediately to avoid missing deadlines.
Registration Validity
Each student’s registration number under ASSEB remains valid for 5 years from the date of registration.
If expired, the student must apply for re-registration permission before the next form fill-up session.

Note: Institutions must pay ₹1,000 as affiliation renewal fee during the form fill-up process.
Fee Exemption
According to Government Notification No. E-238074/471 dated 07.11.2022,
Centre Fees and Examination Fees are exempted for students of Government, Provincialized, and Recognized Venture Schools/Colleges whose parental annual income is ₹2 lakh or below.
Student Categories & Eligibility
- Only students from recognized and permitted streams are treated as regular candidates.
- Students from unrecognized or unpermitted streams will be treated as Institutional Private (I.P.) and must pay I.P. fees.
- Subject change is strictly not allowed after form fill-up.
Betterment, Reappearance, and Compartmental Schemes
1. Betterment / Reappearance Scheme
- Students who passed HS Final 2025 may reappear in up to four subjects to improve marks.
- Must appear in practical exams if the subject includes them.
- A new mark sheet will be issued only after surrendering the previous one.
2. Certain Subject
- Students who passed HS 1st Year 2025 in a subject (with prior ASSEB permission) can reappear for that subject in 2026 with renewed permission.
3. Compartmental
- Students who failed in a specific subject in HS 2025 may appear again in 2026 for that subject (Compartmental) or all subjects (Repeat).
4. Repeat Category
- Students with a “Repeat” result in earlier HS Exams can apply as Non-Institutional Private (N.I.P.) candidates.
Note: Once submitted, the chosen category (Betterment/Reappearance/Compartmental) cannot be changed after form fill-up.
