The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has released an official notice regarding admission into vacant Post Graduate (PG) Degree and Diploma seats in Government Medical Colleges of Assam and B.B.C.I., Guwahati under the Assam State Quota for the 2025 academic session, after completion of the 2nd round of online counselling.

The provisional select list of candidates allotted PG seats after the 2nd round of online counselling has been published on the official DME Assam website.

Terms & Conditions for PG Admission 2025

1️⃣ Provisional Admission Rule

  • All admissions are subject to verification as per
    “Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into PG Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021 (Amended up to date)”.

2️⃣ Documents Required at Admission

Candidates must bring:

  • All original certificates
  • Required admission and counselling fees
  • Documents prescribed under PG Admission Rules, 2021

3️⃣ Instructions for Re-Allotted Candidates

  • Candidates re-allotted seats in the 2nd round must report to the new college.
  • They must submit acknowledgement receipts or proof issued by the previous college regarding submission of documents.

4️⃣ Submission of Original Certificates

  • All selected candidates must deposit original documents as mandated under the PG Admission Rules.

5️⃣ Mandatory Bond / Agreement

  • Every admitted candidate (including State Health Services Quota) must execute:
    • A registered bond agreement
    • On ₹100 non-judicial stamp paper
    • Within 2 weeks of admission

6️⃣ False Information Clause

  • Furnishing false or incorrect information will lead to:
    • Immediate cancellation of admission
    • Legal action under NMC Professional Conduct & Ethics Regulations

7️⃣ All India Quota (AIQ) Candidates

  • Candidates already admitted under 50% AIQ must submit:
    • Resignation / surrender acceptance letter from the concerned institution.

8️⃣ High Court Case Clause

  • As per Hon’ble Gauhati High Court WP(C) No. 6852 of 2025:
    • Any selection of Dr. Ikbal Bahar Laskar will be subject to the final verdict of the writ petition.
