Educational Qualification
- Post Graduate degree with minimum 50% marks in the concerned subject
- B.Ed degree from NCTE-recognized institution

BTC Graduate Teacher Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 40 years
Educational Qualification (Post-wise)
1. Graduate Teacher (Arts & Science)
For Arts Teacher
- Graduate/Post Graduate in Arts or Commerce with 50% marks, and
- B.Ed from NCTE-recognized institution
For Science Teacher
- Graduate/Post Graduate in Science with 50% marks, and
- B.Ed from NCTE-recognized institution
2. Graduate Teacher (Hindi)
Any one of the following criteria:
- Pravin/Ratna with 50% marks and a degree with 50% marks, OR
- BA degree with Hindi securing 50% marks, OR
- PG in Arts with 50% marks (must have studied BA with Hindi)
Plus:
- B.T./B.Ed degree (Parangat = B.Ed equivalent)
3. Graduate Teacher (Sanskrit)
Any one of the following:
- Shastri degree with 50% marks, OR
- BA with Sanskrit (50% marks), OR
- PG in Sanskrit with 50% marks

Additional Eligibility Conditions
1. Nationality
Candidates must be Permanent Residents of Assam. Candidates from the BTC area will get preference.
2. Small Family Norms
Candidates with more than two living children on or after 01/01/2021 are not eligible.
3. Medium of Instruction Requirement
Depending on the school medium, the candidate must have:
- Assamese Medium: Assamese in HSLC / Diploma in Assamese
- Bengali Medium: Bengali in HSLC / Diploma in Bengali
